MEDICAL TEACHING & TRAINING

The Education & Conference Centre at the City is the perfect place to think, learn, discuss and be inspired. It’s an exceptional setting for medical, pharmaceutical, surgical and GP training.

We have a wealth of technology, live links to operating rooms, cutting-edge equipment and flexible spaces.

There’s also the opportunity to learn within our National Repository and Surgical Training Centre, or high-spec Clinical Skills and Competency Centre, with advanced courses in both invasive and keyhole surgery.

F1/F2 TEACHING

Protected teaching time is an important part of foundation training and education. It is critically important that foundation doctors recognise that they have professional and personal responsibility for their own learning. This includes attending structured educational sessions and undertaking supervised learning events (SLEs) wherever possible.

It’s important that you are punctual, sign the register and at the end of the session give feedback on the forms provided so trainers can make appropriate adjustments.

Teaching takes place on a regular basis at the Education & Conference Centres.
